CULTURE OF WORK


The origin of the company dates back to 1956 when Martino Fontana with his brother Gottardo, moved by a lot of courage and a spirit of sacrifice, decided to undertake the business of selling building materials. The sale of building materials was accompanied by the construction of buildings and, shortly thereafter, a factory was added for the production of concrete products in the province of Sondrio.
In 1978 the activities were divided and Martino Fontana continued with the construction company: the current Fontana Company.
From the first Guzzi motor truck to modern trucks equipped with hydraulic cranes, from the first typewriter to current IT tools, from wooden stairs to aerial platforms, in over 60 years of activity many aspects of the work have inevitably changed but not our will to continue the work in the approach of a continuous improvement by facing the challenges of a market in ever-changing evolution, with the passion and enthusiasm that the founder Martino Fontana has managed to convey also to the children who now run the company with the same seriousness and determination of their father, in articulated and increasingly demanding markets of rigor and specific skills.

The Fontana company boasts, for its history, a consolidated tradition of building and in different other sectors: from private construction works and construction of large retirement homes, to the restoration of buildings subject to monumental restrictions, from lines and cabins for the distribution of medium and low voltage electricity, to the latest generation of artistic or street lighting systems.
From a small group of people we moved on to a large team, full of specificity and skills, made up of men and women who believe that the only way to face daily challenges is teamwork done with cohesion, unity and conviction.
Seriousness in the relationship with the customer, professionalism deriving from constant and continuous training of each team member, carried out on the basis of specific programs established periodically, continuous attention to safety in the workplace with the aim of achieving and maintaining the primary objective of "Zero accidents"; these are our trump cards to face the challenges of the future.
